Milledgeville police offer gun safety course

Gun owners will get a free opportunity to learn about Georgia’s concealed carry law and practice with their weapons next month in Milledgeville.

In a June 6 course led by attorney Kelly Burke, the Milledgeville Police Department will allow those who pass a background check to use the department’s simulator and firing range.

Licensed gun owners must bring their own weapons and ammunition and apply for the course by June 1.

Applications will be posted on the Milledgeville Police Department’s Facebook page and will be available at headquarters at 125 Macintosh St.

For more information, call Maj. John Davis at 478-414-4064 or email him at jdavis@milledgevillepd.com.
