Macon man charged in holdup, shooting in Middle Georgia State parking lot
About 24 hours after two shots were fired in a stickup on the Middle Georgia State University campus, a Macon man was arrested.
Justin Levi Woodall, 23, was booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center about 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to jail records. Among the charges against him are armed robbery, aggravated assault and carrying a weapon within a school safety zone.
Woodall, of a Stinsonville Road address, is accused of robbing someone trying to sell a cellphone, authorities said.
The robbery happened after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday after the two agreed to meet in a parking lot that overlooks Interstate 475, campus police Chief Shawn Douglas told The Telegraph.
A Knight alert was sent to all Macon campus students and employees informing them of the emergency.
