Financial literacy program opens in Macon
A national credit counseling and financial literacy program has opened in Macon, according to a news release.
On Thursday, Macon-Bibb County held an official ceremony welcoming Operation HOPE to the Buck Melton Center, 150 Sessions Drive. The agency’s program titled HOPE Inside Macon-Bibb provides credit and money management workshop four times a month.
The program , which started running workshops in Macon in February, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Operation HOPE has focused on improving “financial dignity in underserved communities” since 1992, the release said.
