Macon-Bibb officials invite public to SPLOST meetings
Macon-Bibb County residents are invited to community meetings where officials will gather information to create a new list of special purpose local option sales projects, according to a news release.
The first of four SPLOST meetings will be held Thursday at the Macon Mall. Macon-Bibb officials are preparing a list of projects to go before voters in November.
The current SPLOST has been used on various projects including road and stormwater repairs, renovations to multiple recreation centers and construction of new juvenile justice and animal welfare centers.
Below is a schedule of the forums, all of which begin at 6 p.m. Suggestions for projects can be emailed to splost2016@maconbibb.us.
