I-16 road work set for Bibb, Twiggs counties

Travelers on Interstate 16 should expect traffic delays Wednesday through Friday in Bibb and Twiggs counties.

Contractors installing raised reflective pavement markers will be using rolling lane closures while putting down the markers in eastbound and westbound lanes.

Weather permitting, the work is expected to be done between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. each day between mile marker 0 and mile marker 22.

Motorist are urged to stay alert and should not to pass the work truck or its buffer vehicle or swerve between lanes to see past the vehicles.
