Cause of death revealed for Macon woman found in vehicle
Autopsy results have confirmed that drugs led to the death of a Macon woman found dead in her parked car more than two months ago.
Jessica Lynn Moore, 28, died of an accidental overdose of heroin and Oxycontin, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Monday afternoon.
Moore was found dead on Fletcher Street near Ingram-Pye Elementary School off Mercer University Drive after midnight March 6.
Jones also is awaiting toxicology results in the death of Blair Chamblee, a 25-year-old Macon woman found dead in a parked SUV outside Zaxby’s restaurant on Spring Street about 7:30 a.m. April 2.
A spoon and syringe, believed to be for drug use, were found inside the vehicle after the engine had been running since the previous afternoon, investigators said.
