Pedestrian seriously injured in Pio Nono accident
A 60-year-old Macon man was seriously injured Saturday when he was struck by a car while he walked across Pio Nono Avenue.
The accident happened at about 5 p.m. at the intersection of Suwannee Avenue, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office release.
Charles Cooks walked into the path of a vehicle traveling south in the left lane and was struck, the release stated.
He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, the release stated, and is listed in critical condition.
