Grant to aid Ocmulgee trail expansion

A new grant will be used to expand the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, according to a news release.

On Wednesday, officials with Macon-Bibb County and NewTown Macon will provide details of a $92,000 federal grant that will increase the size of the trail from the south side of Amerson River Park to the Riverside Cemetery section of the trail. A news conference will be held at 9 a.m. near the Bragg Jam Canoe Takeout in Amerson River Park.
