Hazle Hamilton, vice president and CPA for the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, has been elected president of the Community Foundations National Standards Board, according to a Tuesday news release from the foundation.

The standards board is a supporting organization that sets standards of accountability for grant-making foundations and corporations nationwide that are a part of a Virginia-based association called The Council on Foundations.

Hamilton, who has been working at CFCA since 2000, currently manages finance and administrative functions as a certified public accountant, according to the foundation’s website.

CFCA was among the first community foundations in the nation to be confirmed in compliance with National Standards in 2006 and was reaccredited in January 2013, according to the release.
