A 60-year-old Macon woman reported missing last month may have been dead for three months inside her home.

Wednesday, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office issued a news release asking the public's help locating Robin Pugh-Perry.

Her son, Trelane Oliver, was concerned because no one had heard from her since Jan. 10, so he filed a missing persons report on March 31.

Just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Bibb deputies arrived at her home in the 2600 block of Napier Avenue and found the doors locked. They smelled a "foul odor" from outside the residence and were able to gain entry by removing an air conditioner unit, according to a Thursday news release from the sheriff's office.

Inside, they found Pugh-Perry dead on her bed. There are no signs of foul play at this time, according to the Thursday release.

Deputies had tried to make contact previously, but were unsuccessful and hadn't noticed anything unsual at the residence at that time, the Thursday release said.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Oliver said his mother does not have any family living in Macon, the Wednesday release stated.
