The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is looking for the owner of a trailer that is believed to have been stolen.

Deputies found the enclosed 12-foot trailer Saturday. Its vehicle identification number had been removed. The single-axle trailer is described as a "Journey by Pace American."

It has distinguishing marks and stickers that are not being released in order to confirm that anyone who comes forward actually is the owner.

Anyone who may know who owns the trailer is asked to call Sgt. Lawson Bittick at 478-994-7043 ext. 265.
