Milledgeville boil water notice after main break

A broken water main means some Milledgeville residents have no water or little pressure.

To protect from potential health hazards, everyone in the outage or low pressure area is urged to boil water for at least a minute before drinking, cooking or preparing baby food, according to a notice from the Milledgeville Water System.

Customers west of Cobb Street within Thomas Street and Fishing Creek, and the Park Towers of Oconee Regional Medical Center are affected.

Public schools on Blandy Road, the Allenwood subdivision and Georgia College's West Campus are not affected, the notice stated.
