Macon's Easter sunrise service relocated
The Easter sunrise service planned on Coleman Hill in Macon on Sunday morning has been moved because of the likelihood of rain.
The service still will be held at 7:30 a.m., but it will be in the sanctuary of Mulberry United Methodist Church, 719 Mulberry St., Kay Wangen, a member of the Sunday School class holding the event, said in a statement.
"It promises to be the same meaningful service to start your Easter celebration -- minus the rain," she said.
On Saturday evening, the National Weather Service was predicting showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm Sunday.
