McDonough woman dies after Macon accident on Ga. 247 in south Bibb

A 47-year-old woman died Monday morning of injuries sustained in a south Bibb County accident Saturday on Hawkinsville Road, or Ga. 247.

Kimberly Walker, of Lossie Lane in McDonough, was pronounced dead at 11:10 a.m. at the Medical Center, Navicent Health, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

Walker was a passenger in her mother's Chrysler Town & Country that was turning left from southbound Ga. 247 onto South Avondale Circle about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

Walker's mother, 65-year-old Shelia Aleman, also of McDonough, turned in front of a northbound Lincoln Town Car, driven by 27-year-old Laderrion Underwood of Macon, the release stated.

Aleman also was critically hurt. Another passenger, Charles Moore, and Underwood were in stable condition following the accident, which is under investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
