No gun found after Facebook threats regarding Westside High School
Campus police and Bibb County sheriff's deputies investigated a threat against Westside High School on Wednesday evening.
According to an email from Stephanie Hartley, communications director for Bibb County schools, a student posted threats on Facebook that he would be taking a gun to the school on Thursday.
Officers went to the student's home to assess the validity of the threat.
"No weapon was found in the home," Hartley wrote in an email Thursday. "The student is not at school today and the situation is being dealt with administratively."
The search came after school administrators made campus police aware of the threat.
