Bibb County sheriff's deputies will be taking to the streets Thursday night as they discuss concerns of neighbors living near Freedom Park and Brookdale Elementary School.

The latest Walk for Safety will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Vine-Ingle Little League baseball park.

In Sheriff David Davis' continuing efforts to visit local neighborhoods, deputies will be walking along McKenzie, Morgan and Mary drives.

Davis hopes the efforts will reduce crime by encouraging neighbors to report suspicious activity.

The department plans future safety walks in other neighborhoods.
