Two men shot during party at Dodge County recreation department
Two men were shot early Sunday at a large private party held at the Eastman-Dodge County Recreation Department.
Dodge County Sheriff Lynn Sheffield said deputies were called to the scene shortly after midnight. Exactly what led to the shooting remains under investigation, but Sheffield said two men were shot and have non-life threatening injuries.
Both were taken to hospitals in private vehicles before deputies arrived. One was taken to the Dodge County Hospital and the other to Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Sheffield wasn't sure Sunday afternoon if they were still being treated.
There were reports that two others were shot and left the scene, but Sheffield said that hasn't been confirmed.
No arrests have been made, but the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Eastman Police Department are assisting in the investigation.
Sheffield said a building at the recreation department was rented for the party, which was attended by about 400 people or more.
