Spring cleanup being held in Macon's North Highlands neighborhood March 12
Residents of Macon's North Highlands neighborhood off Gray Highway are invited to bring their rakes, gloves and shovels March 12 for some spring cleaning as the Cherry Blossom Festival nears.
People are asked to clean up the front of their homes, vacant lots and streets by helping getting rid of weeds and other debris. The event, hosted by the North Highlands Neighborhood Association, will be held from 9 a.m.-noon, according to a release.
There will also be a large dumpster available at the intersection of North Avenue and Garden Terrace for people to dispose of items such as mattresses, chairs and TVs.
Donations of yard waste trash bags are being accepted.
