Macon's cyclist advocacy group is looking for organizations to join the city's first "Open Streets Macon" activity.
College Street will be closed to vehicles on Sun. April 17 from 2 - 6 p.m., allowing people and bicycles free rein to walk, skate or cycle on the normally busy road.
Organizers plan hubs of activities along the road and are encouraging groups to come up with ways to promote active lifestyles, according to a news release from Bike Macon.
Partner applications are available at the website bikemacon.org/openstreets.
