Drivers should take note of a lane closure planned to begin Thursday night and linger through the weekend on Interstate 75 southbound in Monroe County.
From 9 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday, crews will begin cutting concrete slabs that will be removed and replaced south of Johnstonville Road, exit 193, near Forsyth, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The right lane and shoulder of the highway are expected to be closed at mile marker 191.
That lane also will be closed continuously from 9 p.m. Friday and Monday morning, weather permitting.
