The bright yellow bell-shaped flowers of the Forsythia bush will be celebrated around the courthouse square in Forsyth with the city's annual Forsythia Festival set for March 12-13.

More than 20,000 people are expected to attend the annual two-day celebration, which will feature arts-and-crafts shows, food, sporting tournaments, live entertainment, a kid's corner, a fashion show and more, according to news release from the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce.

The festival has been an annual event for the city since 1991 and takes place the second weekend in March.
