Application deadline extended for Knight Community Projects contest
The College Hill Corridor Commission has extended the application deadline for the Knight Community Projects contest to Feb. 15.
The initiative, funded by a $50,000 grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, seeks to underwrite the community's best ideas for continued revitalization and creative placemaking within the corridor between Mercer University and downtown Macon, according to a news release from the commission.
Any Macon resident can submit online an idea that aligns with the College Hill Corridor master plan, which can be found at www.collegehillmacon.com, according to the release.
The commission will oversee the selection of projects to receive funding, and winners will be announced after March 1.
