Overturned truck backs up traffic in south Macon

An overturned truck snarled traffic in south Macon on Wednesday evening.

Bibb County sheriff's deputies received a call around 6:15 p.m. about the truck, which fell on its right side traveling northbound on Pio Nono Avenue near the intersection with Houston Avenue, Broadway and Houston Road. The truck apparently had just turned onto Pio Nono from Houston Road when the accident occurred, but no one was injured.

Traffic had to be re-routed on Pio Nono between the intersection and Guy Paine Road until the accident could be cleared, and Houston Avenue was also affected.
