Public safety job fair to be held in Macon Thursday

Macon-Bibb County is seeking the best and brightest men and women across Middle Georgia.

A job fair is scheduled for Thursday for people interested in applying to be firefighters and sheriff's deputies, according to a Facebook post on Commissioner Al Tillman's page.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Manna Ministry/ Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church, at 1180 Bartlett St.

Tillman, Human Resources Director Ben Hubbard and other employees will be on site with applications. Refreshments will be served. For more information call 254-6783 or 951-2409.
