Free legal advice available Thursday in Macon

Anyone with a non-criminal legal question can seek advice during Thursday's "Ask-A-Lawyer" Day in Macon.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., attorneys will be at Georgia Legal Services Program at 241 Third St. as part of the American Bar Association's Pro Bono Celebration Week.

Lawyers will discuss the law as it relates to families, consumers, foreclosure, bankruptcy, probate, landlords and tenants, Social Security and disability.

The event broadens access to free legal services in under-served rural communities and is sponsored in Macon by Georgia Legal Services, the State Bar of Georgia's General Practice and Trial Law Section and the Law Offices of Veronica Brinson & Associates.
