Ten groups recognized at Days of Giving breakfast
Ten Georgia nonprofits, including several in the midstate, received $1,000 grants Thursday as part of the Days of Giving program.
The grants, funded by Wells Fargo, are intended to honor groups that help their communities.
"The level of commitment that these 10 nonprofits give ... is commendable," Robert Horn, area president for Wells Fargo, said in a news release. "They are an example of how our collective efforts can make a major impact -- on individuals, neighborhoods, our city, our country and beyond."
Here are the groups that received checks during a community breakfast at the Anderson Conference Center in Macon:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Heart of Georgia;
Boys and Girls Club of Washington County;

Friends of Little Ocmulgee State Park;
