Dublin police holding fall festival

Families are invited to have a little fun Thursday night at the Market on Madison in Dublin.

The Dublin Police Department and Dublin Laurens County Recreation Authority are hosting the annual fall festival from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available along with hayrides, face painting, a bounce house and contests for best costume and pumpkin decorating.

Police also are raffling a queen-size quilt donated by two ladies from the local quilting guild.

The $2 raffle tickets will benefit needy children who will “Shop with a Cop” in December.

Last year just in time for Christmas, officers bought toys for 14 youngsters, according to the police department’s Facebook page.
