Macon water main break closes lane on Mercer University Drive

A broken water main closed a westbound lane in the 3000 block of Mercer University Drive at about 4 a.m. Monday, but workers patched the line and restored water service by 10:30 a.m.

Macon Water Authority work crews had to close one right lane of the road until they finished repairs about noon Monday.

A little more than a dozen customers lost water for about six hours along the north side of the street.
