Eastman woman killed in Dodge County accident

Wet roads contributed to a fatal accident Thursday afternoon that killed an Eastman woman in Dodge County.

At about 5:50 p.m., Sheyanne Peacock, 21, was headed south on Ga. 87, or Abbeville Highway, when she hydroplaned into oncoming traffic near Edna Moore Road, said Dodge County Coroner Joe Smith.

Peacock was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two small children traveling with her were seriously injured and taken to Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon, Smith said.

The driver of the other vehicle traveled by personal vehicle to the hospital, he said.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
