Historic Macon Flea Market coming up this weekend
Midcentury modern furniture. An original Widdicomb dining set. Works of art from around the world. Holiday décor and children’s toys.
You’ll find all of that and more at the 38th Historic Macon Flea Market this weekend. It’s being held at the former Karsten-Denson hardware store at 536 Third St.
“We have some incredible pieces, and the prices are unbeatable,” said Emily Hopkins, the special events and marketing coordinator for the Historic Macon Foundation.
It all starts with Friday’s Preview Party. Tickets are $20 for Historic Macon members and $25 for nonmembers, according to a release. Tickets include a barbecue plate, beer and wine, and live jazz. The Preview Party runs from 6-9 p.m.
The sale continues Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s hours are 8 a.m.-3 p.m., and the market will be open from 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
Among the other items for sale are antiques, gardening gadgets, sporting goods, linens, draperies, kitchen goods, and fine china and silver.
All told, 77 cents of every dollar spent at the Flea Market goes back to Historic Macon’s operating expenses, which include efforts to revitalize the community by preserving architecture.
You can purchase Preview Party tickets online at historicmacon.org, or call Historic Macon at 478-742-5084.
