Man found dead in vacant Macon apartment; Bibb coroner seeks family

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones is searching for relatives of a 48-year-old man found dead in a vacant Macon apartment building.

The body of Timothy Avinger was found Thursday in unit F-2 of the apartments at 2140 Ingleside Ave., Jones said.

The GBI is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of Avinger’s death.
