Middle Georgia men’s health is focus of upcoming free screenings
Free screenings are available later this month at a health fair just for men.
Navicent Health is holding the 2015 Men’s Health Fair on Sept. 26 from 7 a.m. – noon at Central Georgia Technical College, 3300 Macon Tech Drive in Macon.
Health screenings ranging from hearing, strength and depression checks will be available, as well as seminars on cardiovascular health, cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and stress management. Each seminar is designed specifically with men in mind, according to a release from the hospital.
“Oftentimes, men are so busy with their daily lives that they neglect their health. The Men’s Health Fair is a wonderful time for people to encourage the men in their lives to take a time out for health,” Charles Krauss, the hospital’s community health educator, said.
