Power outage blamed on downed tree in Macon’s Ingleside neighborhood

A large tree came crashing down early Thursday in the 3100 block of Ingleside Avenue near Claire Place, leaving nearly 100 Georgia Power customers in the dark.

Macon-Bibb County firefighters, Bibb County sheriff’s deputies and Georgia Power crews responded before 5:30 a.m.

The power company expects service to be restored by 11:15 a.m.

A Macon-Bibb public works crew was called to remove the tree, which is blocking the road.
