Bibb coroner seeks family of woman found dead behind Macon home
After a woman in her 30s was found dead in a Macon backyard last month, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones is trying to find her next of kin.
The badly decomposed body of Sarah Anderson, who is a British citizen according to her passport, was found face-down Aug. 22 in the backyard of a house at 2943 Southshore Drive, which is in the Riverside Park neighborhood just east of Interstate 75.
There were no apparent signs of foul play, said Lt. Sean DeFoe, a public information officer for the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the death.
An autopsy was inconclusive pending toxicology testing, Jones said.
Anyone with information about Anderson or her family is urged to call Jones at 478-256-6716.
