Macon sets record low as temperatures drop to upper 50s
Macon’s touch of early fall set a new record low Wednesday morning.
The temperature dropped to 57 degrees at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport, which broke the record of 58 set in 1952 and matched again in 2013.
Middle Georgia is experiencing normal highs around 90 degrees, but the low of 57 is 13 degrees below normal for late August.
Drier air in the region means no chance for rain until Friday.
