One person was killed and multiple others were injured in a Tuesday morning car crash on Interstate 75 in Forsyth, the city police department said Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred in the southbound lane on I-75 at 6 a.m near mile marker 187, the Forsyth Police Department said. Officers identified “multiple individuals with injuries and confirmed one fatality resulting from the incident,” according to the police department.

The person who died has not been identified as of Tuesday.

The Georgia State Patrol is assisting with the investigation. They did not respond to requests for additional information from The Telegraph before publication.
