Two dead, child critically injured in Macon car crash on I-75. What we know
A car crash on I-75 in Macon Sunday left two people died and a 6-year-old in critical condition, authorities said.
A Georgia State Patrol trooper responded to the two-vehicle crash on I-75 northbound near Rock Creek Road involving a Dodge Charger and a Ram 2500 pickup truck, according to GSP.
“The preliminary investigation determined that the Dodge Charger sideswiped the Ram 2500 before leaving the roadway to the right and overturning,” GSP said in a news release.
The driver of the Dodge Charger and the passenger, a minor, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to GSP and Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
The second passenger, a 6-year-old, is in critical condition and was transported to Atrium Health Navicent, Jones said.
The identity of the victims have not been released as of Monday.
The crash is under investigation.
