A 52-year-old man unloading a truck died when metal gates fell on him Tuesday afternoon, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

The man was unloading the metal gates from a truck at the Ramada by Wyndham hotel on Chambers Road when “the gates fell on the man, crushing him,” Jones said.

The deceased man’s family has not been notified as of Tuesday afternoon.
