Driver had ‘medical emergency’ before two-car crash in Forsyth, deputies say

A 52-year-old is in serious condition after a two-car collision on Boxankle Road in Forsyth, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Friday.

Around noon Friday, a Nissan SUV driving north on Boxankle Road “crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a box truck,” according to the news release.

The driver experienced a medical emergency and was taken to a Macon hospital in serious condition, according to deputies.

The driver of the truck was not injured, the news release said.

The crash remains under investigation.
