Georgia is home of the juiciest peaches, the busiest airport in the country and a biodiverse landscape. However, Georgia is also home to not one, but two of the most relaxing towns in the US, according to World Atlas.

So, which towns are they? Here’s which two Georgia towns made the list:

St. Mary’s

St. Mary’s Georgia is located on the southern edge of Georgia, with St. Mary’s river channeling into Florida. The town is known for its proximity to Cumberland Island and is home to the church where John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette got married.

The town also has a lowkey, walkable downtown area, with no busy streets or traffic. There, you will find a variety of shops, bakeries, bars and restaurants. At St. Mary’s, visitors can also go fishing, kayaking, biking, birding, camping and more.

Jekyll Island

Jekyll Island is located in Glynn County and is part of the Golden Isles of the Georgia barrier islands.

It’s been recognized for its Historic Landmark District and it’s also one of the few places where visitors can get up-close encounters with sea turtles.

Even more than that? It’s one of the best places for a beautiful, relaxing stay.

“Natural space dominates the island instead of development pressing against the coast: maritime forest, tidal flats, and long stretches of beach that stay visually open,” according to World Atlas.

On the island, visitors can enjoy special tours, biking, golfing, mini golf, trails, restaurants and more.
