A Warner Robins lottery player won $2.5 million in a scratch ticket, the Georgia Lottery said Monday.
The person won $2.5 million from a Millionaire Jumbo Bucks scratch ticket purchased at the Lolo gas station at 750 Russell Parkway in Warner Robins, the lottery corporation said in a news release. The winner claimed their prize April 17.
Proceeds from the Georgia Lottery games “benefit education in the state of Georgia,” according to the news release. They’ve given $30.6 billion to specific programs like the HOPE Scholarship Program and the Pre-K Program.
Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
