Will spring weather start early in Macon? What about the heat? Here’s the GA city forecast

Here’s the spring weather forecast for Macon this year.

The groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter for Macon and surrounding areas, so while we are hunkering down in our coats braving the cold, many of us are eager to see spring.

But when will that be? And how warm will it get this spring in Macon?

Well, here’s what to know about the spring 2026 forecast:

When will spring weather start in Macon?

With March right around the corner, many Macon residents are excited for spring weather, but when will that start?

According to AccuWeather local forecasts for Macon, we could see spring weather quicker than we (or the groundhog) originally thought.

  • March begins with warm weather (highs around 77) and that sun and warmth sticks around until about the 7th. On the 7th, the forecast says clouds with some rain possible and highs still in the upper 70s.
  • Rain is expected on the 8th and 9th, followed by sunshine from the 10th to the 15th. 
  • Mar. 16, there are some thunderstorms expected and cloudy weather on the 17th and 18th.
  • For the remainder of the month, on and off clouds and sun are expected with some rain chances. 

Looking ahead to April, AccuWeather forecasters expect mildly warm weather with typical rain showers and a few thunderstorms.

National Weather Service experts predict that March, April and May will have above normal temperatures and equal chances of rain during spring.

How warm will spring 2026 in Macon get?

AccuWeather experts predict temperatures could rise to around 88 in April, with normal highs around 78 to 82 degrees this spring.

Likewise, lows are expected to be mild, around low to mid 40s.
