Human remains found in Monroe County off Rumble Road. Authorities investigating
A partial set of human remains was found in Monroe County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The remains were discovered in a wooded area behind a church off Rumble Road around 2:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office said. Authorities are investigating.
Anna Watkins, a spokesperson for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, said the investigation is still in its early stages. The sheriff’s office did not disclose if foul play is suspected, or any further details about the age or condition of the remains.
