GA has 2 of the best restaurants for chicken wings in the South, Southern Living says
There are so many ways to enjoy wings, from smoked, grilled, fried or my personal favorite, double fried. And let’s not forget the finger-licking sauces, like buffalo, lemon pepper or garlic Parmesan.
And in the South, there are endless places to go for a good bite. But which ones are the best? Well, Southern Living just figured that out for us. And even better, two of the best wing joints of the south are in the Peach State. Here’s what to know:
2 best GA wings spots in South
The Local, Atlanta, GA
“The Local has a ‘wet’ combo of Buffalo sauce and lemon pepper seasoning. Paired with smoked, fall-off-the-bone wings, it’s a glorious thing,” said Southern Living writer Matt Moore.
At The Local, customers can choose from the legendary Atlanta-made lemon pepper for their wings or other unique dry rub blends such as jerk, sun-dried tomato or spicy Korean.
Of course, there are also fries, tots, coleslaw and plenty of beer to go around.
Nam Phuong, Atlanta, GA
“Situated off Atlanta’s famous Buford Highway, this Vietnamese joint cooks up wok-fried wings in a fish sauce,” Moore wrote.
On Yelp, the restaurant has 4.1 out of 5 stars and reviewers rave about the glazed wings, calling them “exceptional,” “tasty” and “fantastic.”
Customers can also try spring rolls, egg rolls or their famous salt and pepper squid with the wings.
