Macon man dies days after motorcycle accident on Broadway

A Macon man died four days after his motorcycle collided with a pickup on Broadway.

William Hollingsworth Sr., 57, was pronounced dead just after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Medical Center, Navicent Health, said Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

About 8:45 a.m. Friday, Hollingsworth was headed north in the 300 block of Broadway when a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 58-year-old Macon man turned into his path, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

William Hollingsworth Jr. was riding with his father and also was injured.

The accident is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call 478-751-7500 and leave a message for Deputy Krage.
