Powerball lottery player wins big in Macon. What’s the prize?

A lottery player became $50,000 richer Saturday after matching winning numbers on a Powerball ticket at a Macon gas station, according to Georgia Lottery.

The lucky winner bought their Powerball ticket at Marathon gas station, 5250 Riverside Drive off New Forsyth Road, a news release said on Monday.

The winner “matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball,” Georgia Lottery said.

It was one of three $50,000 Powerball winners in Georgia on Saturday’s drawing. The other two games were purchased in Tallapoosa and Smyrna, the release said.

Players have a one in 24.9 chance of winning a Powerball prize, according to Georgia Lottery.

A Powerball game costs $2, plus $1 for each additional play.

Georgia Lottery livestreams its Powerball drawings at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
