Fall is quickly approaching and while we’re excited for football, flannels and warm soups, we also can’t wait to see the leaves change to beautiful orange, red and yellow.

When will fall foliage peak in GA?
According to a study by SmokyMountains.com and Axios, Georgia residents should see some fall foliage colors as early as the end of September, but more vibrant colors won’t appear until mid-October because of warm temperatures still to come.
“By Oct. 13, patchy foliage changes will begin to appear across metro Atlanta while small areas near the border with Tennessee, and North and South Carolina, will be partial and near peak foliage,” as stated in the study. “Near peak status will move into metro Atlanta by the end of next month and will reach peak foliage around Nov. 3.”
So, how long will the leaves stay colorful?
Well, Georgia’s state parks website said the season’s leaves will stay until “mid-November at lower elevations.”
