I-475 North lanes reopen following truck accident

All lanes of Interstate 475 North have reopened after a tractor-trailer accident closed two lanes for several hours.

The lanes reopened shortly before noon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a release, the accident happened at about 5:20 a.m. near mile marker 11. A truck hauling orange juice ran off the road and into the tree line. The truck turned over on its side and became entangled in the trees. The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
