Victim identified in fatal ATV crash in Crawford County, officials say

A woman died in a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle in Lizella Monday, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

The 48-year-old was found dead on private property when deputies arrived, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

A 911 caller reported the incident around 10:30 a.m. Monday in the 700 block of Tucker Road, a forest-filled neighborhood just west of Macon-Bibb County, deputies said.

The woman “succumbed from her injuries” and Deputy Coroner Randall Pate pronounced her dead at the scene, officials said. She was identified as Alicia Dawn Garrett, of Crawford County.
