This event in Macon will feature 50,000 books on sale. Here’s where, when
Calling all bookworms: The Friends of the Library of Macon-Bibb County is hosting its annual spring book sale this weekend.
The sale will feature around 50,000 like-new and gently used books as well as audiobooks, CDs and DVDs, according to a news release. Most books will follow a standard pricing system with paperbacks costing $1 and hardcovers costing $2. On Sunday, the final day of the sale, everything will be half-priced.
In addition to the standard fare of used books, the sale will also include “Old & Quaint,” “Choice” and “Collectible” categories, which include rare books. Books in these categories will be priced individually, the release said.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Middle Georgia Regional Library, the release said.
The sale will be open in the round building at Carolyn Crayton Park from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Members of Friends of the Library will also get access to the preview sale on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
